Kindergarten

Two years of purposeful play that build curiosity, first words and confidence, for children aged four to six.

2 teachers

Kindergarten at Ghaima

In KG1 and KG2 children learn in well-organised corners for reading, building, sand and water, and art, with a teacher and an assistant in every class of no more than 18. We start letters and sounds in Arabic and English through play and songs, and count and measure with blocks and beads before pencil and paper.

Every week a small question leads the play: why do some things float? What does a seed need to grow? The children plant the kindergarten bed in the garden and look after it until harvest. The day ends at 13:30, and a photo report reaches you every Thursday.

At what age does my child join KG1?

Children join KG1 at about four and KG2 at about five, depending on the birth-date cut-off for the school year. We confirm the right class for your child’s birth date at your visit.

Is there an entry test?

No. We meet your child in a short play session during your visit to get to know them, with no test and nothing to prepare.

What about food and rest?

Children bring a healthy snack and water from home, and there is a quiet corner for rest. Kindergarten is nut-free to protect children with allergies.

How do we know what our child is learning?

You receive photos and short notes every Thursday, we meet you three times a year, and you can book a meeting with the teacher at any time on this website.
